I actually think it was confirmed a while ago that the Zune HD would be shipping internationally, but "shortly after" the US release. That sometimes doesn't work out too well--just have to wait and hope.

Never. I still can't get over the fact that it's a "Zune." lol I mean that just isn't cool even remotely cool sounding. 50% of why you buy something is its curb appeal and aesthetics lol I don't think the HD thing is that amazing. It's more of a gimmick.

I wont touch anything less than 120 GB. Anything less in my opinion, is crap - be it Zune HD or iPod HD. I already own multiple Zone and iPod 120 GBs.

How is an ipod with less than 120 GB crap? Most people don't have 120GB worth of music (mine is 8GB and I'm getting along fine with it)...also I don't think there is an Ipod HD, the 120GB one is just called the I-pod Classic.

Sounds hot... Zune HD 32GB for $289.99 and the iPod touch 32GB for $429.00... "HD" and cheaper with the Zune... then again, the real comparison should be between the Zune and the iPhone =/

Noooooo! I will never, ever, ever, ev-er buy a Microsoft product! Especially as I have an aversion to the term ASAP! I loathe it with a passion along with anyone who uses it in what ever circumstance... even in the advertising of the said product (see Zune website)!

Looks good, but I cant help but notice some similarities (design/appearance) b/w this and the IPhone!
I own a zune, and I LOVE it. First off, I am a radio fan. So, unlike the ipod, the radio feature has made me love the zune even more. Although the zune software is not as good as the itunes, i think that zune has more personality and is more "you". I cant wait to upgrade to the zune hd ! and i hear the internet is amazing!

I don't listen to the radio on my 120 GB Zune. And even though I don't really watch video on it, the video quality on my Zune is amazing. I use it for an MP3 player and it's also very good at that. I paid $230 for it. I won't be buying the new one.

32 GB still too small storage-wise. Only just catching up with the current and soon-to-be outdated iPod Touch! Not to mention if they don't think the rest of the world is important I say back to them they can go where the sun don't shine... I'll be getting the next gen iPod Touch at the London Apple store!

Can you imagine if MS came out with something like this before the iPod touch? As it stands - leaving pure function out of it - it just looks like a knock-off. It's sleek and kinda cool looking, but MS always seems to be chasing after somebody else's innovation...

You'd better wait for the new Apple announcements in september... There might be a new iPod touch with great new features or even a Tablet. Remember Apple has a big App Store, unlike Zune. Is HD video alone really a reason to choose for a device?

This thing looks really sharp. Very very nice. I thought Zune was dead, but this might just put them back in the game. I mean... just look at the damn thing. I guess they finally figured out that design matters just as much as utility. People want things that look stylish and this really gets it. Plus it looks like it does a lot.
I'm using my iPhone for mp3s now, but... if not for that I would rush to the store to get one of these. In fact, it's so nice I might do that anyway in a few months.

I am rarely anywhere without my Zune so, yes, I will be pre-ordering the new Zune HD.
I'll just wait for Apple's answer. Whatever they come up with will function better anyway, and I'll know it's going to work the way I want it to.

It's such a pity that the Zune is US only, I would really like to get one down here in Australia as my Creative Zen is on its last legs. Hopefully Microsoft will announce an international release somewhere down the line
