Mashable - The Social Media Guide: ZooLoo Creates a Master Dashboard for Your Online Life

  • Brandon · 4 months ago
ZooLoo could serve as hub for all your online activity. Seems like a worthwhile service so far. I interviewed the co-founder of the service, Live on Web Trends. She shared a lot of great information about ZooLoo and Online marketing tactics. The interview can be seen at http://www.ustream.tv/recorded/1804633 or http://webtrends.tv

Wow thanks for this one, this looks like a very cool and useful site and tool. I have yet to fully check it out but I will try all of the functions. Cool Stuff:)

Certainly looks as if they are on the right track here. 'bringing it all together' in terms of online tools is difficult to do, and I can see how Zooloo could achieve this. The UI is neat, but I think time will tell whether it will be the central hub. Signed up to the free version, and couldnt access all the tools, are there interfaces to LinkedIn and others when you pay?

Yeah, ZooLoo is kind of neat and they have a bright PR person who is getting them covered early on! Although there are a few startups in this space, as well as sites like iGoogle, ZooLoo has a fun appeal to it. I think some of the sites that I really got hooked on before this aren't the same look and feel, others like Navigaya, Schmedley, Power, and PageFlakes. What ZooLoo offers is a more comprehensive look and feel. This is the kind of site I see we can possibly integrate with FreezeCrowd, the site I'm launching soon.

    Looks like a good start!

No way to import posts from my current Wordpress blog. Big Fail. I'm not about to start over...

    Hi Robert,
We have had a few kinks getting on certain email whitelists at the start. You can always contact us through the website if you are having problems. Having a link to resend the verification email would not address the issue, but we appreciate the feedback. I checked and your email is validated in our system, so it appears you have been able to get on. If you haven't logged in you can hop on and check it out at any time.

Glad you guys like the site! Since we're still in Beta, we're still coming across a few problems (like the one you had Robert), but overall, these last days have been really exciting. In terms of widgets for your My ZooLoo page, you get all the widgets on Free as you do on Plus. Linkedin and other widgets as well as an iPhone app are possibilities for our 2.0 release in the future.

    Aaron,

You might want to check again. On my free test site widgets are not available: See URL below...

Robert - On your My ZooLoo page (aka your dashboard) you get all of the widgets with a Free account. You are correct though, that you have to have a Plus account to access all of the zCreator widgets

Interesting tool. I wonder how customised those domains are though! Are they all going to be lumbered with .zooloo like www.zooloo.example.com I wonder? I would imagine you are still going to need some tech knowlegde to get this up and running, atlhough less than a full blown development from the ground up. For users that don't want to get into the hassle of such then social networks like http://loopthing.com can help you get a profile set up instantly.

Painful interface. It's as if Facebook had an ugly baby.
