Mashable - The Social Media Guide: Zoho Writer Gets Redesigned, Becomes More Like Office

OT: Why is Mashable loading in FF and Safari w/o a lefthand margin. Text is butt up against browser window edge making it tough to read. This seems to be very recent, maybe last few days. I'm on Mac 10.5.

Wow, what an impressive update. Google Docs could learn a thing or two from Zoho.

I have always been a huge fan of Zoho and it's products. This is just another reminder of why. Now if they can just get the mobile version of their products to work with my Blackberry I would be in heaven.

I definitely prefer the redesign. It's an easier transition from Office! GoEverywhere leverages Zoho on their personal desktop, allowing users easier access to their documents when on the go. For those that prefer Google Docs, GoEverywhere also allows you to access those with just one login.

i still find it hard to reconcile myself to using purely web based word processing software for business purposes. we are just too used to using MS Office to process data. we use HyperOffice to collaborate on MS Office files, and are able to get the major benefits of online word processing software - remote access, and the ability to collaborate. most systems do already have MS Office installed locally, so accessing files on remote systems isnt much of a problem. we're hoping that the release of Office 14 will completely get rid of this problem.

I don't like the new style!!

I don't like it either... Is there a way to change it back?

This is a good facelift. Why Google Docs and ThinkFree are not adding more features? ZOHO is pretty up to date.

I'm often working with remote desktop software from computers I haven't used before- I always just went to Word for quick text documents because it's at least similar from OS to OS, but this is a much better option. On top of that, I hate Word, and would love to spend some time with a competitor. Thanks for posting!
