the home screen and nav options are optimized, but as stated, the results pages need work

Definitely a functionality needed by Wolfram | Alpha (or any new site for that matter). But when you start navigating around the site, the page formatting is messed up.

They need the whole UI reformatted for the iPhone, or not at all. Did they even use Dashcode? A nice gesture, but a poor execution.

I'm sorry, but this post is pathetic.
Not only did you not show the fully optimized iPhone-only search page (http://tr.im/oicR), you failed to even think for a moment about why the results page is *not* "optimized":
How can you intelligently compress the information, mainly the charts, without it becoming incomprehensible?

I still love wolfram alpha, glad they are coming to the iPhone platform to.
Just have to hope they don't sell out and create a paid app, adding to consumer misery and wallet stress: http://bit.ly/Gorlp
