Once again, MSFT attempts to stuff far too much sh!t into a vehicle that can't possibly hold it all. If it manages to get all those losers in that little VW, it's going to go slow, drag bottom, and handle like a bathtub. Congrats on the truth in advertising!

Re: Windows Phone Ad: What Do You Think?

I'm confused. Is this supposed to be an actual Windows Phone? Or just a Windows platform-ed phone.

I feel like Microsoft's marketing strategy isn't quite there. Sometimes it's ok. Like Pete mentioned, the Laptop Hunter commercials is a good example.

But this is so vague and ambiguous. And it shows nothing on why it would be better than the iPhone or even the Droid platforms. Social media apps? iPhone and Droids have them. So what else is there?

Unless of course... this is just another one of those things Microsoft does to copy Apple. Can you say Windows Store? (it even looks like an Apple Store--- So Sad.)

As a person who's planning on getting a new phone in a few months, I would say this phone definitely doesn't have the same appeal the Droid or iPhone has. You'd have to really love Windows AND AT&T to get this.

Re: Windows Phone Ad: What Do You Think?

Wait, is it 2006? Because the concept of taking apps with you on the go was novel then. Microsoft would have cleaned up on phone sales if they'd offered the ability to connect to more applications THEN. Now, it's like, well OF COURSE this phone does that - doesn't every phone? All this seems to do is keep Microsoft from getting left behind, not from being a leader in the phone tech space.

Re: Windows Phone Ad: What Do You Think?

miss

Re: Windows Phone Ad: What Do You Think?

I actually think this is the best Windows (or Microsoft) commercial to come out in recent memory. I think it hits the more artsy folks and does an excellent job at getting the brand messaging across. Definitely a winner in my eyes.

Re: Windows Phone Ad: What Do You Think?

I think it will hit the market.Windows phone will hit for sure.

Re: Windows Phone Ad: What Do You Think?

Ad itself is not bad.. but the little blue character on the back of the green one... had sort of a "Qwato-ish" look about it. And it does nothing to confront the appearance of Outlook as bulky and rather slow.

Re: Windows Phone Ad: What Do You Think?

Had it not been in Mashable article, I wouldn't know what advert is this. thanks to Mashable, atleast I knew its Microsoft mobile advert. cheers guys

Re: Windows Phone Ad: What Do You Think?

This does no harm but does not differentiate. It does not set up what is different or unique about their product compared to the smart phone category. Maybe they simply want to announce they have arrived... and stay tuned for what's next.

Time will tell.

Re: Windows Phone Ad: What Do You Think?

Microsoft missed the smartphone boat and thinks everybody still wants a car.

The ad demonstrates what sets a Window Phone apart from other smart phones. However integration with Microsoft's desktop app's isn't something I identify with or value anymore.

Re: Windows Phone Ad: What Do You Think?

LOLZ! Things just seem odd lately, MS making great programs...........

Re: Windows Phone Ad: What Do You Think?

The sad part is, the average cell phone user, still doesn't understand the meaning of apps, versions, etc. They expect it to be included with the device.

Re: Windows Phone Ad: What Do You Think?

I think the ad is actually pretty cute and effective. Apps in the add are large, bulky and don't seem mobile. Those are reasons NOT to get a Windows phone.

Re: Windows Phone Ad: What Do You Think?

Smells like "Danger" to me.

Re: Windows Phone Ad: What Do You Think?

I like it.
