Finally somebody says what "it" is, instead of parabolic hype about "if you want it, here it is; come and get it. But you'd better hurry, 'cause it's going fast!" So thanks for that.

I remain a bit skeptical about allegedly earth-shattering things that must be explained in half-an-hour, though. Thomas Edison didn't need half-an-hour to explain what a light bulb was.

My current question remaining is, what about spam? Does this do anything to make it go away? I get, like, 1,000 pieces of spam a day and spend maybe an hour a week making sure good mail isn't in there and so on. It is a worse crime than having a drug dealer down the street, I would assert.

What if Google Wave fails ? I see a lot of reason why it could fail wether it's google or not.

Because if they aim at beiing a really big social thing, well a lot of users don't even use gmail, a lot of others don't use google docs or readers, a lot of users are starting to use bing, the only potential users are the usuals devs and power users, a

And a lot of them feel insulted by this not so open source (i'd rather say vip source) product, other wavers can't even use it because they can't invite friends to join (google is lying to dev when saying that you can send them), and by the time it gets released a lot of people will have forget it, maybe some alternatives will come up, but really don't count to me to spread the wave, I hope this product dies.

oh boy yet another way for a private company to own all of our conversations, data, etc - does anybody, anyone, just one other person out there still care about privacy? What the F are privacy policies for anyway? Just give all the details of your life away to some company for a really cool slick new thing. sad.
