I just bought a Droid today. I have to say so far it is pretty great. It has all the apps that I need on a daily basis. The google listen app is very nice as well. I am not seeing a downside for me so far. It does what I need it too.

Picked up my Droid today and so far, similar to Medic60, no complaints. For anyone that doesn't get AT&T coverage, it's a great smart phone. Good deal of apps already and the apps available are useful, as well, I can use my facebook app while listening to Pandora which is from what I'm told by my friends with iPhones (great phones too) is a "big deal".

I've thought long and hard about whether or not to get the Droid. I've been a very happy VZW customer since 2007 (before the iPhone was launched) and I really want an iPhone. I know the Droid might be a neat alternative... but I'm sorry... I want to join the app game. I've been getting by with the iTouch for awhile and have determined that I'd like it on the VZW network.

I don't think I'm alone here... I think many people agree with me that an iPhone on Verizon would be the ultimate mashup of mobile awesomeness.

I hear it's coming in 2010... by the 2nd quarter. So as much as I would like a new phone right now... I'll keep my 1st gen BB Storm and wait for a "4G... LTE Network... Verizon iPhone".

I have an iPhone 3G and I think I'll wait for exactly what you're waiting for. The issue is the network and AT&T's has become totally dysfunctional. I'm no fan of Verizon but that's how bad things have become.

I've heard that from many people. I would have switched to get the iPhone long ago but I would also like to be able to use it... haha...

Paitence I suppose is the thing I have to find now.

Look to be the first comparable phone to the iPhone, I'm curious to see how much momentum will pick up on this phone in the next 6 months.

I am thinking about it but I don't want another contract with Verizon. There service is not so good when it comes to the phone.

I kind of want to know what a texting thread looks like on the Droid. Anyone want to screenshot that?

Interesting…. over here in Denver the Google home page is only showing the usual…no mention of the Droid…not even Bert and Ernie saying anything!

it’s still a relatively rare occurrence to be up in lights on the Google homepage.

Wow! I am surprised nobody talked about Google possibly abusing it's monopoly.

Yeah, Google is #1 in Web Searches. And it is very, very, very rare to put ads on it's home page. But to use that ad space to take over another market?

I hate Microsoft. But now Google really is following the footsteps of Microsoft.
