What I am really disliking is the new pushing of their "favorites" on search results has somehow messed up the tag system.
I used to be able to get to my webcam with any of a number of combinations of tags. Now, the only thing that works is the "Title" of my web cam... tags simply do NOT work...
Search "Robin Nest Egg (All 3 tags) nothing (EXCEPT their recommendations... WHAT does Leo Laporte have to do with a robin's nest?)
Now, try Robin's Nest (Mine has a wreath with a robins nest... nothing earth shaking, but I am using it as a demo of the problem)

I also dont like the force to use twitter I just was getting some folks to use the chat without having to register. Now no chat unless you are registered. I am looking to replace that embedded part with a irc chat that can be used by those watching without signing up.

anyone have success doing this??

So far Ustream has kept a rather solid balance of features and stability, at least compared to the alternatives. The new twitter friendly feature I think enhance it greatly. Allows more 'virtual immersion' in the shared experience.

The new chat sucks balls, if any reply is more than one line the Flash app gets caught on it and doesn't scroll down to show new posts. Fix your Flash crap, Ustream!

I spent hours designing my show pages and now that's all gone and they look like crap. Too many windows and very hard on the eyes. The new design is far from user friendly. Right now I can't even get my show URL to load. I also don't like having Twitter forced down my throat. Make it an option, not a requirement. I hate the change. If there's another service out there I'll use it.

I think the new site is terrible. Well actually I just have a few issues. The chat box needs to be bigger. It's 2009, we're not using 8 inch monitors. That and the fact we can't change font colors. It was easy to differentiate before with different colors. Obviously you can look at a name and it's NOT that bad of an issue, but it is when you have hundreds of people in a room typing fast. Make the chat bigger, allow custom font colors and I'm happy.

Yea, but since Ustream is a live video streaming site, I rather see the live video on the home page. Just personal preference :)

They're still live videos, but highlighting the "best" segments of previous streams as well. So there's some of both.
