I'm not sure i understand why they charge? do the documents stored on the kindle actually get stored on their servers? is this why the price? I just assumed the kindle worked like an iPod where your songs (or books) get stored on your computer and you just paid the price to purchase them. Therefore documents (on the kindle, or photos on the iPod) souldn't have a charge... does this make sense?
this isn't exactly true. Amazon's website has always stated as such, but I noticed I had not been incurring any charges, so I contacted their customer service department. I was told that they were waiving the fee temporarily... In the year I've had my Kindle this is the first time I've been charged for wireless uploading of personal documents.
