I can't think something useful out of this too. But then again, who knows? I never thought some geeks can make a real search engine from a very simple short messages, but twitter did it.

Everybody will know where everyone is. But again you can use it or not. Some people will find it fun some will hate it. Just more toys.

it would be nice if Google Maps were in real time like twitter. Great app nonetheless.

Jealous spouses will demand an app that verifies location and a live feed from where their spouse is at to catch adventurous lovers... er, I mean lovingly check in on one another.

It's a cool app, but not an useful app. Many twitter apps are coming out and are there any useful apps? The only app that I use and like is http://www.boilingpage.com, the real-time search engine, that shows the hottest pages on the web based on how popular they are in twitter. In fact, I found this article in the home page of http://www.boilingpage.com

The problem is Twitter is NOT providing Geo coordinates. You can just put name of your town. I'm tweeting somewhere from London. But where exactly?
I resolved this problem by just inserting #ll tag plus geo coordinates (0.0000,0.0000) . So tweet from every corner on the planet.
    And the application: http://www.allapis.com/Geo-Twitter-ll.aspx

I think the better question is: Does anyone in the world care what street you're on?

Wow! Why not go a step further?

    Because that's like stalkerish. Creepy.

I could see it's cool uses and how neat the idea is, but as technology evolves we should be careful about things like this!

It's kinda cool but pretty useless given that a big number of the tweets are retweets or @replies without context or just spam... also only works on cities with Street View, which means many places I've tried just show an aerial shot of the city (boring).

sounds like a nice idea. too bad it will never work. :(

Clumsy if trying to zero in on smaller areas like Washington, NC in U.S.
