I think the Twitter lists are extremely interesting, as they give new insight into the profiles of Twitter users. I am so curious now to see who is listed by whom. Clearly most "heavy" Twitter users were already sorting using outside applications, so Twitter Lists are merely a catch-up of that, yet have so much additional potential (I am repeating a myriad of articles I'm sure).

However, with the public nature of the lists, I don't see the lists for one's own personal benefit, but rather as a "props" to others. Whether it is to acknowledge others, or to guide others to the greats, going through the process of listing is amazing. I finished mine yesterday and I was so clear who really stuck out in my mind. It is also interesting to define your community! Mashable doesn't have a list called Twitter Love! LOL I do!

You can also create lists to acknowledge your most adoring followers! Don't be limited in ideas about these lists. In taking the time to create these lists we are showing the fact that we are grateful for the information or an interaction that these people share with us. It is actually pretty special. :)

Too true, but I suspect there are others out there like myself who are always searching for new music. (well. new to them!) I don't expect anyone to follow any lists, but it makes tweet tracking easier and maybe makes it easier for others to find someone new.
