I disagree with the comments that say there's nothing here for Twitter users. I have been on Twitter since the day it launched and Evan's thoughts about events, information vs. social media economics and journalism were very interesting to me.

It's also really wonderful to see Charlie Rose's ever-youthful curiosity and enthusiasm for new ideas, and how quickly he grasps new topics that so many others struggle to comprehend.

Re: Twitter CEO Evan Williams Interviewed on Charlie Rose [Video]

hmm.. interesting.. although I am curious about how they plan to make money.. !

Re: Twitter CEO Evan Williams Interviewed on Charlie Rose [Video]

The main thing to note is that the interview content is meant for the majority of Charlie Rose's viewers, who know nothing or very little about Twitter.
I'm located in the UK and whilst I'm only a 11 day old Twitter user, I think that I've grasp the mechanics of it quite well. For Charlie Rose and others, I've no doubt that the interview was an informative introduction to the world of Twitter. Anything on a higher plane would have been lost and of no interest to non Twitter users. That's why 'Soaps' are so popular - KISS, the acronym that is. Enjoy. @DavidJagger

Re: Twitter CEO Evan Williams Interviewed on Charlie Rose [Video]

Did you guys see http://www.twibeo.com launched today! I love Charlie Rose and it fun fun to watch his fascination with Twitter - child like wonder, very cool. It was also great to hear how organically Twitter has evolved and that might offer a few clues to the question on everyone's mind - how are they going to make money. At least on the surface we seem to be more concerned about this than the founders.

I was fascinated to learn that there are more than 2000 third party programs that have the capability to post to Twitter. That coupled with the third party applications results in a micro industry built around Twitter.

Great and insightful interview as we have come to expect from Charlie Rose.

James
http://Twitter.com/AskJames...

Re: Twitter CEO Evan Williams Interviewed on Charlie Rose [Video]

hey, is Charlie Rose on Twitter -- I'd like to follow him.

Re: Twitter CEO Evan Williams Interviewed on Charlie Rose [Video]

This is an interesting article if you are NOT a Twitter user. After the 7 minute point it got higher level, but the 1st third was too basic and did not hold my interest. Even at minute 15 I had not heard anything I did not know. But Evan is a smart guy who has real vision.

Re: Twitter CEO Evan Williams Interviewed on Charlie Rose [Video]

Charlie Rose?!?
