Looks quite nice- can't wait to give it a go

If the sync with the desktop works seamlessly, this will be a must have app.
  • Cory E. Nielsen · 5 months ago
I guess this explains the slow down in TweetDeck feature updates as of late.
  • Gary · 5 months ago
This is going to be bad ass. I've been waiting for TweetDeck for the iPhone for the longest time. TweetStack was a worthy competitor but those screens look amazing.

I have Tweetdeck installed on both my personal and professional computers. Unfortunately, (unless I've missed something), they don't sync with each other... I have to recreate groups and searches in each instance.

    I wonder:
    1. how syncing mobile to desktop would work - ie, which computer it would sync to,
    2. whether syncing across machines is an upcoming feature.
  • Jeff Spence · 5 months ago
same problem here. The iPhone Tweetdeck isnt syncing my groups with the group columns already established on the desktop version of Tweetdeck. =/
  • mikefenton · 5 months ago
same problem here as Jeff and Julie

Make sure you also downloaded the updated desktop version of TweetDeck...needs to be v0.26. You then are prompted to create or log-in to your TweetDeck account. If you did that, did you use the same account for both or accidentally created two different tweetdeck accounts?

It all works fine for me...though wish it would sync where I was in reading my tweet feed between the different devices.

That's exactly why we need an opml file for our userlists ! We need to be able to switch from any twitter client (Tweetdeck-Seesmic-Nambu-Tweetie) anytime and on any device (desktop-mobile, ...) . In fact, be able to keep ours userlists with us, and up to date ... until we find the best app fitting our needs.

+1 for opml file! Syncing all the twitterers I follow via Mobile Me could be nice
  • empireofno · 5 months ago
very much looking forward to this. have tried almost all the iphone clients and went back twitterrific until the twitpocalypse - this should be good!
  • hypermark · 5 months ago
Awesome. It's totally the right type of experience for the iPhone touch/title/shake user experience. Can't wait.

Hey, how'd you get so many API Calls?
  • Ernmander · 5 months ago
    Been a long time coming
  • Steve · 5 months ago
Where is Tweetdeck for the pre?
  • Ernmander · 5 months ago
Seems odd that an English produced app chooses to release 9pm your time. After all the support us UK guys have given TweetDeck feels like a bit of a slap in the face.
  • Joe Dawson · 5 months ago
I'll definitely be downloading this app and if the functionality is what I expect then I will be heavily promoting!

I'm moving from Blackberry 8700C to iPhone 3GS on Friday (been avid blackberry enterprise user for 5+ years) and one of the minor reasons is social media. Learning that TweetDeck, my desktop tweeting app of choice, will be available is just icing on the cake. I just hope they've implemented some of the user requests like not losing groups when you close a column, and (hopefully?) the ability to have a column of ungrouped tweets.

Downloaded and using. So far, I like the interface and of course sorting tweeps into groups is what makes tweetdeck different and better. App has crashed 4 times though in 20 minutes
  • stevekennedy · 5 months ago
So far, so good. I like it!
  • Angelica T · 5 months ago

Almost every day a new social networking tool is launched!

I must be too dumb for this app! Right off, I don't understand the process: do I create a new Tweet Deck account for the iPhone and will Tweet Deck sync between the two, or do I just access my existing Tweet Deck account via my iPhone? Prompted to create a new account by the iPhone app, I did so hoping that it would sync with my existing account and create the columns, assign peeps to my groups, etc. Nope. So . . . ???

really great .let me try it out .cant wait it now.
  • chinmoy · 5 months ago

Question- I have an iphone, a twitter, and a facebook account, and I am trying to figure out if the tweet deck for iphone allows me to add a column for facebook, because I tried syncing through my pc and I cannot get the darn thing to download the facebook colum.

    Thank you

I haven't found a way to update my FB from my iPhone Tweetdeck app. Makes things kind of messy, really, especially when using so many social networks. Anyone else have a nice formula to make all these work nice together?
  • josselson · 5 months ago
I've been very happy using TweetStack for the past few months, but I'm definitely going to download TweetStack and see how they compare.
