They're joking, but I wish they weren't. Getting rid of one of these would mean there would only be one horribly shitty yet uber-popular Twitter client instead of two.
I hope it isn't true because for me TweetDeck > Seesmic !

Competition is good, yes indeed. On the hand, at the moment I'm using both for different reasons, not ideal. If they were to join, it might make one pretty good desktop and iPhone app package. It would be a dominant force in the market though, yes (as they joke).

Hmm, I have been a fan of Tweetdeck for a long time. I had the opportunity to checkout Peoplebrowser courtesy of @codebaby. It totally ROCKS! It is a huge competitor to Tweetdeck. I cannot wait to see how far they will develop this for everyone. It is now my new toy, hehe

Too bad, would be nice if they joined forces too provide leading apps for iphone and a desktop client which offers better performance than the current seesmic build (probably based on the AIR platform)
