Interesting Twitter integration. It makes a Twitter purchase seem more likely.

Google Wave is going to have a tremendous impact - and this sounds like an excellent extension. Maybe I will be getting rid of Tweetdeck???
  • Jeremy · 6 months ago
People will no longer refer to it as surfing the web - it will be surfing the wave!
  • gautamhans · 6 months ago
google wave will start a new trend.

Any Google/Twitter collaboration will not be a "Twave" - but, more likely, a tsunami! The genius of both begs for greater collaboration and any step in that direction is an important one.
  • Anuj Seth · 6 months ago
    You mean twunami? ;-)

Don't get it - Why Do you need twitter if you can do everything in wave anyways?
(ie a real time activity stream)

I have to have it! They make us wait?! How dare they! This will probably be the thing that will keep Twitter around longer than on its own

    What about Tweegle or Gootter?
  • Bridget Ayers · 6 months ago
Google Wave is going to be immense....falls right in line with the Godgle persona! Good for Google - innovation is the name of the game.

So far I am not as excited about Twave as I am about all of the other features...however that would change if they brought in the components that Seesmic Desktop and Tweetdeck have. Grouping function, Twitter Search (twootles like would be great), multiple accounts, maybe some Twoogle Analytics, etc...

Still exciting though....just wish it were coming out sooner :(

cool, can wait for Google Wave to come out, they have been busy with it since 2006.
  • Iffam · 6 months ago

Another cog towards the ability to run your life on the fly via your google account, from any computer. Looking forward to taking it for a spin.

Be nice if it supported subject-following out of the box with something like fTags (www.ftags.com). I'm over following people, gimme subjects.
  • twig1gy · 6 months ago
Very excited for this. Can't wait to see what I can build, although everyone else in the world is building a Twitter app right now. Also, I think it's "Buggy" instead of the above-mentioned "Debuggy" if I'm not mistaken.

    Google + Twitter, oh boy!

Hello? Hello? Can everyone ever born now hear me?

If we hop on to the Goggle Wave are we giving too much attention to Goggle again. Don't we need some competition for Goggle. Don't get me wrong I love them, but surely there are some other technical genius's waiting in the Wings. Come on out girls and boys let's play.

    This is way too cool.

Do you think something like twave can be used privately within an organization in order to collaborate using both wave and twitter but intra- company?

Google is on the brick of innovation and can ride the way which it is doing with Twave. This new wave is just the beginning as Ben stated above. The fact that it is open-source and can be fitted with extensions and applications is a great way to compete with Facebook.

Google Rocks! Twitter Shines! With Twitter , Google is unstoppable.... ;-)
  • Tim Nunn · 6 months ago
Sounds cool, look forward to trying it out later in the year. It's hard to see mainstream (non techy) users adopting the product (in it's current state) in mass though given it's somewhat complex structure. Great for developers to build against though, yet another distribution point for them to leverage.

This could be potentially massive for collaborative work, a real digital kick in the whatsits for Microsoft and others

Can the developers "Wave" with non-developer Google users? The video is great with 3 or 4 people. Are there any tests with hundreds of wave participants together?
  • Peter Fletcher · 6 months ago
Still wrapping my head around G-wave. Self-hosted blog? Done. Self-hosted Wave. Coming right up.

I've been thinking about Wave and its applicability to microblogging. It would be a much bigger game-changer if a federated microblogging capability could be built from the Wave infrastructure. I have a hard time, though, reconciling Waves shared document model with microblogging updates, which are all essentially independent publications of their authors.
