I think you missed out one of the best ways to share... Using @addthis the best one i have seen till now... It has got more than 52 ways to share.... I also use @multiply its also cool...

I use all of these except twitthat, shareaholic and ping.fm... Now I gotta try out these as well...

Twitter, Facebook, Digg and StumbleUpon are the good site for sharing posts. Twitter is faster way to sharing posts to lots of people in a short time. I am Shareaholic Firefox Extension, it is a easy way to sharing information at social media.

I'm just about to start blogging for the first time and am just finding my way around Twitter. I want to share a story that I believe will change people's perceptions about what is possible for their own self development, health and wellbeing. Ambitious!! I'm in the middle of writing a lot of material and re-developing my website. A big project in itself. However, I've now realised that I must use Social Media to share this story.

Thanks for this article - it is easy to follow and gives a great overview for a beginner like me. I was a bit lost in all the online possibilities before!

The potentials of Twitter really become apparent when a good blog post is tweeted. When I post a link to my blog, my 350 followers see it, and if 2 or 3 of them retweet it, my writing suddenly has an audience of more than 1000 sets of eyes. This usually happens within the first 20 minutes of tweeting! In a sens,e Twitter gives every posting an opportunity to become viral.

Great article -- I learned some things I didn't know about.

Here's how I share links:

I linked up Facebook and Twitter and Google Reader and Blogger via Friendfeed ... all I do is post on one and it gets mirrored.

If it's a status message on FB, it gets sent out on Twitter as well. If I tweet it, it ends up as a FB status message as well.

If it's a shared article on Google Reader, it gets sent out on FB and Twitter.

I also linked my Blogger account to Multiply... so if it's out on Blogger, it creates an identical post on Multiply as well. It also ends up as an automatic posting on FB and Twitter.
