I've heard a lot about people talk about bringing together bloggers and advertisers. I wonder how it's actually going to work with Six Apart. Between typepad, vox and livejournal the audience is actually pretty big... not to mention if it's available to everyone else as well.
looking forward to seeing how this pans out. More competition is good!
I think this is a great idea. I use typepad for my blogs and I love it. What a way to pay back to those who have large blogging audiences.

Sounds a bit on the disastrous side. Are you a software company, or an advertising company? Or a media company? Or just a mishmash?
I guess if the ship is sinking, it's best to do _something_ to try to stay afloat.
Unless you're sinking in quicksand, in which case you'll only drown quicker if you fight it.

It's weird over here people are saying "good", in other places people are saying "bad" for PayPerPost/Izea/Social Sparks for doing the same thing. I guess it all depends on WHO integrates.
Elsewhere I've been defending people's desire to use an Izea product. If the blogger and the reader are both ok with integrated ads what's the big deal? I MANUALLY insert ads into my blog and so do 90 percent of other bloggers.
Personally I figured Typepad was going to go the way of the dodo bird with comparable (better?) free blogging software out there, so I'm glad they found a way to stay in the game.
