FB Chat NEVER works for me...I always get excited thinking today is the day so I send a message and POOF...says user is offline. SO IRRITATING!

I still can't use the Facebook chat. Since I'm on OS X Camino they've classified my browser as unsupported thus no chat. Only just the other day did the bar at the bottom appear that showed my Applications link. I had been using it on top until it disappeared. I wondered why they'd just remove the Applications link completely.

What I'd like to see is some way to archive chats without just having to copy and paste them and store them somewhere. Important messages get exchanged in chat, they should be archived just like messages, IMO.

Totally agree about Facebook Chat,some nights it's a total waste of time and i've found that sometimes,the only way to send a message is to click from your profile to home page.

I don't understand why you cannot move chat out of the browser like google chat in gmail. I will always be talking to people and then forget about them......oh well,I guess nobody is perfect.

This has been bothering me for a long while as well! The News Feed doesn't just lag for a couple of hours; sometimes it is days behind. For example, today is Saturday. Things that my friends did on Thursday just popped up into my news feed. I do like to know what's going on with my friends (i.e. their status updates), but I'd rather have that info presented to me in my news feed.. on time. Can't say I'm an avid chat user, but that's mainly because so far, I have not heard any positive reviews regarding it. I fear that if Facebook doesn't get their game together soon, someone else just may steal Facebook's thunder.

OMG, half of everything I try to use on Facebook is busted. The Friendfeed feed no longer updates at all on my profile page, half the applications I try to use don't work. The Kiva Loans application doesn't update my profile page when I make donations. I've gotten zero response from the feedback form... Is there even customer support. I offered to pay for more reliable services too.

My news feed has a jumble of really old news, and a few new items, and things disappear and reappear constantly. It sucks. Even worse is that it will sometimes show older status updates before the newer ones!

For example, I have a friend "Mark". He updates "Mark has gone home" in mid-september and "Mark is back" a few days ago. But the "Mark has gone home" shows up at the top of my news feed, as if it just happened!

not sure you really took time to understand the inner works of a browser-based chat serving millions of people simultenaously... not that you have to, I'm not a techie either (like in techies tend to find more excuses to tech-work) and am highly annoyed with this chat too BUT it's advantages are so many that it's OK giving it a lil more time to improve :) i'm sure LOTS of people are working on it currently in PA!

Totally agree with you! The live feed isn't really 'live' most of the time - too much is missing, and the chat has been very difficult to use this week - very unreliable, delayed messages and undelivered ones - though it seems to be working ok right now... hope I didn't jinx it! Such a shame as so many of us would like to use these features more, not less.
