In reply to Nik Cubrilovic's post -- looks like Omnidrive is gone now (www.omnidrive.com points to a different site now). However, it seems like mybloop is still up. Funny, should taken your own advice instead of commenting on other companies.

Yup, I think you guys are going to make it work - but as far as I know you're not trying to give away free storage without a paid option, and you're not going to build a file sharing system (which makes piracy a problem). It's these things that make me concerned about the current crop of storage offerings.

C'mon Pete you know we are going to make it work with Omnidrive ;). I am not at all that shaken by the latest batch of offerings, they are all 'me too' players who are approaching it the same way - its like they haven't learnt from 7-8 years of similar offerings failing.

I came across Bloop yesterday, and I had the same thoughts. Can't see how piracy would be fought. And how could they be giving unlimited space?
They look like they will be introducing a paid version, because files that you click on state that they are hosted on a trial version.
(and is just me or the search doesn't work in Firefox)
