Nice! Good news for everyone :)

Just wanted to confirm "I have acquired" = Adam Ostrow, or do you mean on behalf of Mashable?
  • reddknight · 1 year ago
This sounds exactly like something I really need. I don't have the time or desire to plow through all the feeds in my reader these days.

This is interesting news. Have you actually acquired it, or pulled a few guys together and kept the site alive.

Congratulations Adam! I've been prone to constantly relying on Twitter for my feed updates or simply visiting multiple sites to check out the latest news, but something that has all of that in one place is great. Looking forward to seeing it.

@ben metcalfe He means Adam Ostrow (along with me and Eric Kerr) :)

@reddknight - that's definitely a huge reason why we did it.

@Steve we've acquired it. Alex will stay on as an advisor.

Wow! Our Drew is growing up! Congratulations, acquirers. Good luck with this. I'll contribute by continuing to hit Shift-S. : )

    So how much was it?
  • Adam Ostrow · 1 year ago
Not much compared to most of the deals you hear about, but a significant portion of my savings :-) A financial adviser might say I'm no longer very well diversified, but what's the fun in not taking risks?

Adam and the new ReadBurner team, congratulations. I was very excited to be part of ReadBurner's launch, and excited again to see it hasn't fallen into the dustbin of Web 2.0 history. I look forward to seeing the site come back and helping prod you forward with new features and functionality.

That's what we like to hear Chris. Heh, thanks for the support!

We love Google Reader, would like to hear what you think about it too...info AT readburner.com

I am sad that the share button doesn't have a "Notes" field. It seems so obvious! I often just want to include a sentence or two with an item.

Then Readburner could be a very legitimate Tumblr alternative.

James, that's a neat suggestion, thank you for sharing!!!
