Plus, I double-recommend Pluggd.com, especially their Twitter service which automatically updates my Twitter everytime I listen to a show, in a neat "Now Playing" style. Good Job.
Nothing fancy, just easy to find, remember and navigate podcast search tools.
Great blog!
One thing I might add for newbies, though, is a podcast on podcasting - a sort sort of meta-podcast, if you will. It was featured on Feedburner's podcast, and a lot of people seem to have really liked it.
It's a little hard to describe, but it covers everything from free software tools to tips to make your mic sound better to publicity ideas - all over a bunch of hip-hop (and other) beats.
Here's the link: The Blueprint - How To Start Your Very Own Podcast. Geared towards music podcasters (not enough resources for us out there!) but probably useful for anyone looking to get started.
Also -- though not a forum, the Yahoo! Podcasting Group is the oldest and most active mailing list discussion group on podcasting: http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/podcasters/
Great list - thanks for the compilation.

We offer recommendations based upon similarities in your subscriptions with other users and include the ability for "friends" to recommend podcasts to you or send you specific episodes you might find interesting.
You have some of our descriptions wrong but thanks for including us in the initial list.
I've never used it, but it looks fairly slick and intuitive. Anybody out there used it?
This will be a site I may need to read later when we start "Pod casts"
"So what is The Levelator? It's software that adjusts the audio levels within your podcast or other audio file for variations from one speaker to the next, for example. It's not a compressor, normalizer or limiter although it contains all three. It's much more than those tools, and it's much simpler to use. The UI is dirt-simple: Drag-and-drop any WAV or AIFF file onto The Leveler's application window, and a few moments later you'll find a new version which just sounds better."
It's indispensable and it's free. Since I found it I've used it on every episode of my show, The Real Deadwood Podcast.
Podcast collections include: foreign language podcasts, audiobooks, university lectures, etc.

thank you
I recently started a series of articles on podcasting. These articles should guide you through the whole process, starting from the idea to the concept, the planning, production, publishing & hosting, promotion, ...
Currently the articles covered the preparation and planning of a Podcast.

Stefaan
Blogtalkradio is awesome. Helps you skip most of the steps and get straight to podcasting.

Dear Editor,
I have an editorial question about your website, Mashable.com.
On this page, http://mashable.com/2007/07/04/podcasting-toolb... see that you list some excellent online media resources in an article from July of 2007. Although it’s an older article, I think it’s a very valuable resource. We’d be honored if you would include Vocalo.org in your list of podcaster’s resources here. Our contributors are largely tech-savvy people who are becoming familiar with radio, and have something to express to the Illinois/Indiana public on the air waves.
Our organization (both the website and our radio programming) provides opportunities for the Chicago/Indiana public to express itself through radio, podcasts, other audio media, and an active blog. We work with budding radio geeks-- comedians, story tellers, artists, critics and commentators-- to build one coherent production around certain themes, from a variety of media, including video, recorded telephone calls, audio productions, music, and interviews. This raw footage is put together into radio shows that broadcast 24-7 to the public on 89.5 FM in Chicago and Indiana. Please take a look at our site!
One writer for Chicago's Daily Herald has stated that contributers to Vocalo "could be the leaders of local radio's evolution and perhaps a facelift for the next generation of public radio listeners". We strive to bring public radio to segments of the population that have not engaged with it much in the past.
Would you be willing to take a look at http://www.vocalo.org and include a link to it on the above webpage as you feel is merited?
If you have questions, please email me. Thank you for your consideration. This is not spam. I am a real person, and I look forward to hearing back from you!
