Ordered alphabetically? I'm not going to spend all day readying web pages to save a couple of bucks a month. A proper comparison would be nice (that applies to all Mashable's resource lists).

Great list. I particularly appreciated the upper section (free websites) as I was going to start looking into this area. Most of the key areas were covered (diskspace, transfer, no ads, basic or advanced (ie, php, mysql)).
I noted that a few of the free sites listed allowed members to place their own ads (while at the same time the site owners would not place ads). Not sure how they can survive on this (aside from upselling, home page ads, email marketing and some other models).
In any case, you saved me a considerable amount of time with this list. It'll help me focus on some key feature sets knowing what questions to ask as I follow a few of my preferences. Thanks!

I love Mashable and I generally like lists - but not "top 50" or "A THOUSAND RESOURCES". YIKES!! Too many! This seems to be a trend. I'm feeling overwhelmed - HELP!!!
Please, Narrow it down to 10 - 20 really good ones. I don't have time to pick through all the garbage to find the few good ones on the lists. I thought the idea of compiling a list was to provide some good information. With so many things on the list, the purpose is defeated. I might as well hop on Google and do a search.
That being said - I do like Mashable and hope that the lists start to be more about quality - not quantity (*please*).
Windows and Linux serves, managed Microsoft Exchange and more for medium to large businesses.
