Yep. I like it. GoToMeeting and WebEx are great, but they leave Mac users in the dark -- at least when it comes to hosting meetings. You can actually host meetings on a Mac with Adobe Acrobat Connect. And it works well -- you can revert control to attendees, share desktop or apps, etc.
All works as a swf loaded in a Web client.

Yes, I used Adobe Connect for a webinar about a month ago. It's got a lot of potential, and is definitely very slick. It has integrated surveying technology, and uses the concept of pods for different parts of your presentation. You can easily drag and drop pods into your main presentation space. So you can actually have multiple presentations open, a product demo environment, and drag these on to the stage for display. What I also liked was that the powerpoint builds and animations display in true form, which isn't always the case with tools like webex, etc.

There's also Teamviewer, which is free for personal use. It's a remote desktop tool, and I've actually used to work on two computers simultaneously (when an app didn't exist on one computer).

AIM Pro now includes Webex limited conferencing tools along with remote desktop control. But it is restricted as it is free.

Have a look at DimDim -- www.dimdim.com, a hosted solution which should work fine for small groups of people. Either they host it or one can install it. It is a freemium product, but the free version should be enough for many people.

Another great tool is Yahoo! Messenger. You can dial toll free numbers in it for free. I use an old laptop to hook it up to the PA system at a broadcast meeting and dial into the conference call bridge with Messenger. Now the people on the phone get a great audio feed of the talk. Coupled with a slide sharing tool, it's almost like being there.

I tried webex but it didn't cut it for my mac. Adobe connect was the solution. I just got turned on to dimdim.com and am going to give it a shot in my next meeting.

I've used both DimDim and Acrobat.com's web meeting tools. I personally like Adobe's better. But both are nice for free options.

MSN live messenger includes netmeeting which was previously stand alone which is completely free works well for one to one with remote desktop control, whiteboard and other very useful utilities. Interestingly we can even control the windows media player, photo sharing sessions very easily.

I have a lucky 13th suggestion: Tungle. (www.tungle.com)
Tungle is free tool that works with Outlook to enable you to seamlessly schedule your meetings no matter what calendering platform the attendees are using.

Thanks for compiling this list. Our company just started several marketing initiatives and we opted to outsource certain key areas of our campaigns. So far, we've used GoToMeeting for our weekly updates with remote contractors and it works just fine for us. I'll be looking into the other sites you mentioned here and try and see if we can find a good back-up service.
Has anyone had a chance to use ReadyTalk? We have used them recently and they are a great service. I am not very tech-savvy, but with ReadyTalk it didn't matter because it was extremely easy to do. I really recommend this company for anyone who just wants a simple web conferencing service that is affordable and easy to use.

Depending on what you classify as a "meeting", Techinline Remote Desktop (www.techinline.com) might be a perfect fit. For instance, it's great for remote support which I use it for, and it is a fraction of the price of LogMeIn Rescue or Webex. Obviously it's not as full-featured as Webex, it is still a very effective tool for taking control or demonstrating something to a remote client on your own desktop. Just thought I'd mention this service as a low-cost alternative to the ones mentioned above...

Along with Webex, you might want to try a remote pc access software from Proxy Networks called Proxy Pro 6. I use it for my meetings and it allows me to pull files from any desktop in my office as well as control someone else's PC to guide them through something. Great for meetings where you are trying to explain something foreign to a client. It is also really safe and user-friendly.
