Mashable - The Social Media Guide: 2007/04/11/facebook-accounts-deleted/

It is always difficult to upgrade in a continuous user environment.

As the author stated, there will always be complaints when you have a large user-base.

Facebook needs to continue to improve, refine, and upgrade regardless. It would be so much worse if they decided "Ok, this works, we're done forever."

I've seen the user-interface of the new "Venice Chronicles" social network - and while it IS remarkable, I GUARANTEE there will be many changes ... and any like any online community, they will have to make them regardless of what their users are "used to" if they want to be the best in the long-run.

I'm sure the account deletion is transitional. The account I use was MIA for a bit but after rechecking an hour later everything was back in place. Thank God cause I didn't know how else to waste time!

Does anyone have an idea about how well Facebook is doing selling the little $1 trinkets ?
  • Jayson · 2 years ago
I heard the trinket system was working well well... but as with any 'charitable' endeavor, I'm sure the fact that they sell even minor amounts is considered successful.
As far as I can tell, trinket sales are entirely charitable and are not something they profit on.

Well. who know.. one of best cracks u can do to db is to add 100 000 users. Some people at sms.ac have done this. Who knows.. here u can also have external apps.

A MINOR BACKLASH AGAINST CHANGES? MOST PEOPLE HATE IT. I"m blocking adds and most people are refusing to click on adds until facebook restores the old facebook

Facebook is like a lobster trap. It’s easy to get in, the bait looks enticing but it’s oh so hard to leave.

My prediction is they’ve put up the going out of business sign.

It's 2009 for goodness sake and this 'deleting accounts for no apparent reason' is still happening. What's their excuse now? Too many lazy bums working there, they need more nerds i'd say.

Any update on total sale of $1 trinket? Will Facebook like to share it with its users :-)
