How can XBox be Good and Microsoft be Evil ???
  • Dan · 2 years ago
How about this site where geeks can confess their tech additions? Please send feedback to dan + techjunkr.com

    SEW,

Social bookmarking site. Considered a lame clone of Digg.

Apple and Steve Jobs don't have the best business practices. Not to mention, Steve backdated stock options, which is illegal and evil towards his investors. I'm not saying Microsoft is any better (it's worse), but Apple is no angel either.

I hate to state the obvious here, but you do know this is tongue-in-cheek, right? Point being that geeks are quick to criticize the prejudices of, say, religious people, but refuse to admit they have their own belief system which sometimes leads to irrational, cultlike behavior. The fact that most Digg users adhere to this diagram shows the groupthink at work.

Also note that anything that presents an opposing view to this doctrine will likely be buried on Digg, while bloggers prejudge court cases based on how "evil" they think the companies involved are.

Xbox AND Micro$oft on OPPOSITE sides? Hello? Anyone home? [Yes, I agree with PtitPaladin.] BTY, you really should leave religious matters to the spiritual geeks who actually know what their talking about.

"Xbox AND Micro$oft on OPPOSITE sides?"

That's called hypocrisy. Geeks are just as bad at that as everyone else.

    hey pete,

Great example of the power of brand on our consciousness, and the power of "geek cred."

    Jon Stewart - Good
    his boss Viacom - Evil

    Microsoft - Evil
    their Xbox - Good

and MySpace, which no doubt started out good and went evil.
