You should just export your friends list and collect them somewhere else. If they are actually your friends and not +1s then it shouldn't be too hard.
You kinda sound like the thought makes you nervous. Cut the cord MC Rizzn. It's time! You should delete your FB account too.
At this point having either one is sort of like having a mullet. Having both is like sporting a mullet and a Garfield shirt at the same time.
I will respect you in the morning, I promise.
Do it right now! You will feel awesome! I swear!
About error messages I have not got one for like 2 months. Myspace has stop that from happening. And if facebook had all the people myspace does then it would have just as many error messages.
About #4. You can turn music off so it doesn't play
#6 I hate facebook b/c it look so boring and old. People on myspace likes to do stuff with there pages. And most of them look good if they don't its ok b/c its the person profile they should be able to do whatever they like to it.
#9 You can do it there myspace doesn't look at you page see if you have your email, aim and other stuff on it. I have never heard of myspace delete someone b/c of that. Most people don't even know that you are not allow to.
#10 He doesn't change he picture b/c he doesn't want people to know that its him in real life and he said it works most people don't know that its him b/c he really doesn't look like that anymore.
In all everyone I know has myspace and in the last year myspace has added a lot of new stuff to make it even more better then facebook. And myspace has said there is more to come. :]]
Does it error or 404 on you?

It's not. Also, you never leave elitism or cliques behind. They're infused into every part of society.
That's why it's a good idea to not take it too seriously and just make fun of everyone on an equal opportunity basis. For instance, the irony of having a FB page about 'int'l delete your ms account day' is lip smackingly delicious.
If you don't enjoy poking fun at that, then you're probably too mature to even be involved in social webborz. They ARE essentially one big virtual high school cafeteria conversation. We're here, we're childish, get used to it.
You can sit at my table though! IF you give me your pudding... otherwise, no deal. ;)
1) Then... delete them or ignore it entirely? Report their account? You can't be that desperate for friends that you can't ignore a few spam accounts, right?
2) Then stop filling out shit that *nobody* wants to read. Myspace might be hinting you need a life other than posting dozens of surveys.
3) See my response to point 1.
4) Why should MySpace get involved? Should I whine to FreeWebs each time I view a user's website only to find loud music automatically playing? Whine to whoever has the automatic playing music in their profile. It isn't too hard to get in contact with the person and tell them you don't appreciate how they have obnoxious music playing when you view their profile.
5) I've only encountered these when logging in (and at that, only once every 20 times), after that I don't see these at all.
6) Look at number 4.
7) Ads are bad? It's another form of income, moron. If you don't like them, then edit your HOSTS file to block the domains the ads are coming from and/or install an ad blocking extension for your web browser, eg. Adblock Plus for Mozilla Firefox.
8) Having a MySpace won't give other people where you live. It's the user's fault in the end. That person gave personal information over the internet to a complete stranger. Call me a heartless bastard, but if you're going to post your address online, someone with a malicious intention might just make a house trip.
9) Weren't you just ranting about little girls getting raped/killed/etc.? This almost contradicts the 8th point. What exactly do you think the preteens/younger teenagers with the mindset of "It's perfectly safe on the internet" are going to put up in these areas? If you want to put your stuff online, use the About Me box.
10) Then get your friends to find some real friends and stop considering Tom as a Top Friend.
There is my $0.02. The reasons listed in your blog entry do not satisfy a need to cancel a MySpace. If you bring up that they're selling email addresses, tracking every move you make on the website, or a horrible exploit, then I'll consider canceling MySpace.
Did you ever know that MySpace is owned by media corporations? Fox
Interactive Media actually gets to make the rules for MySpace, it
practices censorship and secretly seal the mouths of MySpace users. The
continuous censorship of Ron Paul and his supporters is a living
example.
In essence they take away your freedom of speech!
We are tired of their interventions and alienating policies and we
should not allow to let this go on forever. So now is the right time to
start our own revolution by sending out a powerful message!
Be part of the solution and let’s all collectively drop
MySpace on the 3 february 2008, delete our profiles at MySpace and let
us all join www.FoxySociety.com, to connect with other people socially
without any corporation or media monopoly involved.
The power is in your hands, so spread the word, send this letter to many
(MySpace) friends and let’s act on 3 February 2008!

3 February will be the day
We will boom the fox away.

1. use firefox, and use ad-blocker.
i've never seen a stupid myspace ad. nada.
2. set privacy stuff on your profile. people can only ad me if they know my last name (or my email, which is a separate private email just for crap like that, i.e. they can't just 'guess' it.)
3. automatically delete msgs from anyone you don't know. if it's some old person you used to know and forgot, they'll resend it. otherwise, whatever.
4. only use it to converse with people who you know, and who actually know how to use it. i tend to avoid profile's i can't read.
for me, myspace has become a staple for keeping in touch with my international friends. it's not that hard to figure it out to your advantage.
click my weebsite to see mine.
i have ad block plus and i have no idea what they mean... "'ads'? what are these 'ads'?"
i think most people are just lazy. (oops, did i say that?) as for using it, either use it or don't. but get over making it a big deal enough to complain about.
i hate facebook. i don't want vampire hugs. i don't want to plant anything in your garden, and last i checked you can't send anyone a drink in the 'internets'. i do have one though, for networking, and i (gasp) don't go around complaining and begging people to join me.
as for 'identity' stuff... there are VERY SIMPLE codes you can use to remove all your 'info'. parents should get more involved with what their kids do online. it doesn't take a genuis to figure that out.
Too bad this actually happen you dumb fnck.
It was on all kinds of news channels, INCLUDING The Today Show.
A mother of a teenager made a fake account and started harrassing a girl, leading to the girl's suicide.
Azzhole.
"I have requested to delete my account three times and have received no email confirmation to finish the deletion. I do not want this account anymore. Originally it was because I found out your connection with Newscorp, but now I feel like you are violating my privacy. This "feeling" intensifies every time I ask to delete my account and each time to no avail. In my last request I threatened legal action, and evidently that does not bother you people. I am giving you one last chance to remove my account from your website and services, otherwise I will be contacting a lawyer as well as my congressman and senators."
This got their attention, within 12 hours my account was deleted for "Violation of Terms of Service". I suppose that was a bit vindictive on their part instead of just admitting their mistake, but hey, I got what I wanted.
So here is the thing to remember people. They want to try and treat you like a number, like a piece of shit. But dont let it happen. Fortunately the threat of legal action and calling you congressman and senators -is- worth a damn. Dont think nothing can be done because you are only one voice. Many solitary voices have moved mountains in this countries history. Although I hardly moved a mountain, I got what I wanted and scarred them enough to get it done in 1/30th of the time it took them to acknowledge me. Threatening to use the legal system is one of our only avenues that the American people can use to let their voice be heard. So use it, and more power to anyone who deletes their account.
La liste est traduite en français sur mon blog
