This website changed my life. I was getting bored in Geneva, thought about moving but couldn't, for various reasons. From the day I joined glocals on, everything changed. I have tens of new and very interesting friends from all the world, discovered a lot of things in and around my own city, always have great things to do with great people. I consider Geneva now as the only decent place to live in. Even if I have to leave it for a few days, I'm bothered because I think of all the nice activities that I will miss. The only drawback is not for me but for my old buddies: I see them much less...
If you arrive in Geneva, Launsanne, Zurich... and you don't know anyone, you can participe at 20-30 events each weeks, meet more than 100 persons in 1 month (more than 200 for me, or more... ;-)

There's not a week that goes by where I don't attend a Glocals event or see friends who I've met through this network. I've seen sites around Switzerland thanks to events organized by locals and veteran expats. All the folks I've met are also wonderful people representing nearly 80 diiferent countries. Not a single doubt : I nominate www.glocals.com .Friendly, with a fantastic philosophy , it helped soo many friends to enjoy their life in Geneva ( and believe me Geneva is not known for being a lively crazy city) but Glocals.com did make it appear as such to thousands of poeple . I have met fantastic poeple, had amazing parties and this was all thanks to this communiy :=) It is the reference community today ...It really has changed Geneva face..and i can tell as I have lived there all my life :) It is an island of peace, fun, multiculturalism : A real exemple of how the world should be ran :)

glocals.com is not one of those 'virtual lives', 'virtual friends' and 'virtual activities' sites.
Its a real community, focused on enabling people to enjoy their local cities, meet others, and get information.
We are not technology power-houses, and we offer less features than some other sites which are constantly in the news, but we make a real difference in people's lives, and we are attentive to our members needs.
The best community for expats and locals to mingle... Glocals has built a true community spirit, where the members help each other out and bring the concept of "family" alive.
Definitely a community that's alive and kicking. Hundreds of activities going on OFFline, and friendly banter in the forums ONline. Plus a market place and a city guide...

CollegeTonight is the only social networking site I know that is putting the social back into networking. It is working on a second generation of social networking that ends the isolation of the computer and urges people to get out and interact with others. As they say "from interface to face to face." They are spreading across the country to campuses where they take social networking back to its roots: college kids with .edu addresses.
