Part of the trouble is that they go into my inbox, not to my spam folder. I've had to put a filter to direct this mess to my trash folder, so I can report spam. I was told by google that this was due to my internet practices - but I have no such problem with any other email account I have (3). I think it is due to gmail's spam filter not working. And if it is spam, why do I need to see it at all?

Re: Are Gmail’s Antispam Filters Leaking?

I got one or two that the spam filter didn't catch, but that's happened on occasion before. I have never had Spam in Gmail--and I've been with them since their inception. Then suddenly a couple weeks ago, I started to notice 2 or 3 a week. Now, it's 1 or 2 a day and getting worse. I made the mistake of having my email address on a company website for bots to grab, but have since taken it off. Even so, Gmail should have caught it. I've looked at the mails and I don't see any clever text encoding tricks that would bypass a conventional bayesian filter.

I'll be interested to find out how they're doing this.

G

Re: Are Gmail’s Antispam Filters Leaking?

I am today losing loads of legit email into gmail spam folder - whats going on?

Re: Are Gmail’s Antispam Filters Leaking?

Spam mania.
