Thank goodness for craigslist to finally slap ebay back to reality! Ebay thinks they are above the law in alot of matters. Buying out all the competition is a MONOPOLY and if the GOVT would step in they too will be GATES zized and taken down to a normal cost. They are passing a rule no pay pal no sales on site. wait they own it! Matter of fact They are also Raising sellers rates. Just my 2 cents worth. screw ebay! And down with their capitalistic ways!

I love Craigslist and wish them all the luck in the world with their lawsuit. And I think they need quite a bit of luck on this one. There's nothing wrong with a minority shareholder using insights gained for their core business -- it's just a strategic investment.

As for phishing, yes, that's a big, ugly issue but hardly worth eBay losing all their equity in Craigslist. They should be fined instead.

Oh, really !

For one thing there is a lot of evidence in the public domain of faked ads in google purporting to be of craigslist when it is phished, really going to ebay or kijiji...
I could go on at length with other examples but it's a time management issue.

I applaud Craigielist for its actions but I don't hold much hope the success of its claims. The claims are just to ambiguous and can't be proven.

I say good on em'! eBay is acting like a kid too big for his/her britches and it's good to see Craigslist fighting back.

And I agree, this may well get VERY ugly.
