I don't think the domain name PeopleAggregator is long enough! But i guess it fits the design of the site...aweful:P Digital Lifestyle Aggregation is also the most generic name for this idea ever. One thing is certain and that is that all the fragmentation of social identities is causing a huge void and it seems that all these gimmicky "Aggregator" networks (for lack of better terms) are hitting at a great idea but with horrid executions. There needs to be a more methodical and google "esque" approach to this and i'm sure within the next year or so we'll start to see some real champions in this effort.

I read about PeepAgg and am looking forward to the public beta. But I fundamentally do not believe that such platforms can work. Was anyone able to convert the-many-open-source-auction-platforms into an eBay? Ning is another example (though the jury is still out on that and I feel Ning had a better chance). In social networking the value is not in the platform but in the community and "what" that community desires. I do not believe you can do a lowest-common-denominator social platform and expect it work appeal to different communities. LinkedIn is different than MySpace which is different then Cyworld - all social networks in their own way and very successful ones. Thats just my opinion :) Time will tell what really works.

It's pretty much unusable. When I tested it, it didn't live up to any of the expectations I had for its platform. I could forgive the hideous design if the darn thing would only work.

It isn't a bad concept though, and hopefully it'll be improved before it goes into public beta.
