Do you know that you don't need to be in the US to fly the simulator. I'm in India and it works for me.

It can be launched from above Germany too..

Wow, this is so brillant. I tried unype the other day.. can't wait for a mashup to be able to play tom cruise and iceman online with a skype headset :)

Makes you think...could this be the sign of things to come? Google Flight Simulator, anyone?
  • Peter · 2 years ago
Very cool. Now, since Google likes open source, they should work with the folks at the FlightGear flight simulator to combine their flight dynamics with Googles imagery.

I've wondered about something like this several times as I compared the buildings in MS Flight Simulator X to those in MS Virtual Earth. My guess is that there will be a way to update the maps in FSX with Virtual Earth and, if that's done soon, I still think it will be a while before Google comes up with a quality flight sim.

The controls used in the easter egg to control the aircraft are strikingly similar (the same) to the ones used to control the aircraft in MS Flight Simulator X...

    Makes you wonder...

How do you control the planes. I can not figure that out yet.
