Skype is simple and available to anyone in the world. It offers a premium service chargeable per minute or per call... Seems like a good candidate for "click to pay" without giving a credit card number.
As far as I could see, Skype keeps 30% of the list price. EU customers pay extra 15% tax (VAT).
I'm on Facebook and screw around with Owned (where people buy and sell pictures) and Save The Planet. I've never spent a REAL penny and I have had well over L$50 million at one time and probably picked up well over L$125 million overall by playing games and JUST LOGGING IN. They have a daily bonus for each day in a row you log in. It gets to $L1 million a day, so it adds up fast. Since they launched on myYearbook they've been offering L$15,000,000 just to create a myYearbook account.
With that said, this article is not very accurate in terms of the estimate. I would guess they do have a portion of kids with money out there buying but it doesn't require a lot of work (games and kids, anyone?) to rack up L$.
