We know we have some work to do; hoewver, we are willing to take the Pepsi Challenge against any other site in this page. So give us a try and let us know what you think.
And, MrJones, Read/WriteWeb just named us the #2 worst-named web app of all-time. We wear that badge proudly :)
Thanks again, Mashable!

What I like about Dandelife is the timeline. It becomes this visual map of everything I am doing on the web. And with each feed that comes in, I can choose if I want to add it to my timeline or not.
thanks in advance :)
Simply aggregating is really only a feature, so I wouldn't count on any of these pure aggregation sites getting particularly big.
Your thoughts would be priceless…or at least I am hoping.
Thanks for all your hard work,
Lawton Chiles
Let's face it, the reason these apps are sprouting up is because networking portals are not really sustainable.
The WWW IS A SOCIAL NETWORK ALREADY. It just hasn't been used as such without the aid of these walled-garden type of prosthetics like MySpace, FaceBook Etc.
Distributed Social Netrworking is on the way!
This is also why you'll like Spokeo the most if you are looking to track your friends. Spokeo is a fully-functional reader. In this release, we actually took out extraneous sharing and social functionalities in favor of a cleaner interface for reading. We've learned that we can't please everyone, since adding features for the sake of adding will actually dilute our focus.
I hope for those who want to track their social network friends in a reader-like interface, you will find Spokeo a very useful tool.
If you're curious, pls apply for access to the preview release - we activate more users everyday. Our beta users will be the first to access the public release.
Best,
Lars
Ziki offers to all its users a free registration within the main search engines (Google, Yahoo!, MSN) and their content networks.
Whenever anyone searches for your name on one of these pages, your name and a link to your Ziki profile will appear within the commercial ads on the top of the search results.
Try it out and let me know what you think about Ziki.
This is Gideon Marken, developer/owner of SocialNetwork.in - you are not 'unlucky,' but it looks as though I am in this situation.
I was just rolling out some new features for SocialNetwork.in last weekend, and thought I should do a Web/Blog search before I posted an announcement, and fortunately found this posting.
When I launched the site, it definitely worked in both Firefox and IE, but it seems somewhere down the road, there was an issue with the Javascript on the site, causing it to not work for IE 6/7 users.
So - I stopped everything, sat down and hammered out the bugs in a few hours, and now she's back and functioning well. Thank you for pointing this out :)
Now onto the new features!
* RSS based API rolled out - allowing developers to use the service to extract a member's usernames to their sites, the site's URL, and a 16x16 icon of the site in JPG format. With this, developers can create 'profile widgets' or use the data as a foundation for connecting to other sites and APIs.
* We now provide traffic charts from Compete.com on the category and site profile pages. We already provide charts by Alexa, but as you know, Alexa's data is not reality. Compete has very clean data which is more trustworthy. Thanks Compete.com!
I just made a post to my blog yesterday discussing the above in more detail: http://www.gideonmarken.com/index.cfm/blog/1657
I know your evaluation of these sites is already complete and published, but I hope you'll find the time to reconsider SocialNetwork.in. I'm always open for feedback. If anyone experiences any problems on the site - please use the contact form and send me a message.
Have a Good One,
Gideon Marken

However, it is my firm belief that the approaches taken by the above projects are not going to be successfull.
eBlizz is a new startup on the block, aiming to solve the problem with a user-centric approach, based on a smart client application.
Check in out on www.eblizz.com
You'll be able to build ScrapBook pages (somewhat close to 2nd Brain's approach on Collections) and share these with your friends, whom you've aggreagated from Outlook, Facebook and later on many other SN's.
We are looking for beta testers, so please sign up on the page if you're interested.
See you on eBlizz,
Cheers/Göran

We need something like OpenID, but with more features and more support, or we're all gonna get Social Network Fatigue.

Does it really make sense to use such a tool instead of selecting those networks that are really relevant? Where's the business case in it?
Enjoy!
