I agree that it does seem a little bloated. However, I think they know that the whole widget advertising bit is really an area for a lot of potential profit and they're taking advantage of it.

Call me naive, but 35 MILLION dollars?!?! They make web applications, not super computers! What could they possibly need all that money for? They sound seriously over-funded.

But like I said, I'm totally naive about their business model, so whudoo I know? I'd think that if someone in the company's rich uncle would loan them 100 grand, they'd be able to rule the web application universe.
