I think CNN is on the right track.
Brent Thomas
@melissapierce
Additionally, it also gives CNN a leg up on the competition bc of up-to-the-minute feedback on natural disasters, the election, etc.
Thanks for the update Mike!
The NewsHour staff is working hard to gain Twitter followers and get feedback for the kind of tweets they've been posting.
Let them know what you think.
I don't disagree with what you wrote, but I've never heard Wolf Blitzer or Larry King talk about Twitter; so they have a long way to go. I'm not a media expert, but CNN must have 5-10 on-air personalities more popular than Rick Sanchez.
It has higher viewership than ANY show on ANY of those other channels at ANY time (except perhaps Larry King Live).
FNC's F&F has about twice as many viewers as CNN's American Morning.
So one might say, "I didn't realize people watched CNN!"
Can Twitter scale to support the additional usage?
Will the new people be patient about the down time?
Those are questions that I ponder.
Connie
But it's great to see journalists using it!
I didn't even catch the coverage myself - but I got to relive it thru the eyes of a number of other people who were glued to the broadcast.
Yeah, they're getting it right for sure.
Great to see CNN encouraging the real-time conversatoin participation that Twitter enables. Going to follow em next.
The fact is that Twitter is an elitist tool of the East Coast Establishment. The company has no business model and will be belly-up within months. And then you'll have egg on your faces!
Vote Swamp.
As a democratic delegate I find myself regretting Hillary was not the VP pick, I believe Hillary would slice and dice Sara on the domestic and international issues.
Aa a Viet Nam Vet. I find McCains story wearing thin. Over 50000 vets suffered injuries a death durin the war. He is not unique. I agree with Wesley Clark. Being shot down and taken prisoner is not the same as taking a bullet in the chest. Of course most of the grunts were not Admiral sons.
As a registered demo. I voted for Nixon hoping he would end the war.
And as an old man, I'm aware that if Nixon and Kissinger had not entered into the Paris talks witkh our enemies (Viet Nam). John McCain would most likely not be here to run for any office.
My advice to Sara. Cut the McCain reterick and prepare to answwer your record on special interest ryders and special legislation that benefitted your constituents in Wasilla and Plamer.
I assure Biden will.
First time I regret not running Hillary as Demo. VP.
I am from Mississippi and the word uppity is a code word for uppity nigger which means stay in your place. John McCain who family owned a plantation in Mississippi know that this is a No, No, No, You see back in the Jim Crow time and civil right era Martin Luther King Jr., was called a uppity nigger and other Black American who has fought for equality.

However, if the homeowner and the economy are to benefit in an immediate fashion there must be an infusion of cash flow. Why not do something that would accomplish this regardless to the present plan being hashed out in Washington? Before the President leaves office he should call for or sign by executive order a stay of all proceedings in regards to all Americans presently in foreclosure. Americans who are presently in foreclosure should begin to pay their regular payments, portions thereof or at least the interest on the loan while the stay of proceedings is in place. This action would at least create a cash flow in the industry for the mortgage companies affording them to pay their obligations or whatever they deem necessary.
This stay of proceedings would also allow time for a more well thought out plan with the supposed 700 billion dollar bailout funding as to how it will assist the average American homeowner and the economy. In the mean time no other American homeowner will suffer the loss of their home. Is this not the goal and one of the focal points of the bailout?
If the President does nothing until the bailout plan is finally prepared and accepted many more home owners will have lost their homes before receiving any benefit from these monies. By the time monies are available, that is if the average American home owner is benefited at all, it will be too little too late. This action will show the American people that President Bush can in fact do what is best for the average American before he leaves office. President Bush can leave office with a more positive impression in the minds of the American people.
