How do you register to submit an app?
  • Fernando · 2 years ago
What's cool is you can try it via a web browser, whether you're on an iPhone or not. Neat! Makes me wanna actually GET an iPhone by knowing what web apps are available.

yeah, I tried it out also. Definitely had some bugs in it for IE7. Couldn't use many of the navigation buttons on Facebook. Also, did anyone else notice there were no iPhone screen shots of what the app directory looked like on the main page?

It's good they made an application directory.

I noticed they are including websites on there as well though. For example, Bank of America's mobile site. Same with the Cooking website and a few others. I wouldn't call those an iPhone "app" it's just their mobile website, available on any web enabled phone.

Perhaps this is why there isn't a search feature specifically for iPhone apps yet -- they are waiting until they have more.

iPhone has a long long way to go before catching up to the software available for the Treo (especially since not only can Palm OS Treos run apps made to use their special features but they can also run any Palm apps as well).

Completely agree. Windows Mobile and Palm OS support plenty of Actual applications. iPhone has a long way to go. However, it does seem they are goign the web based app route, which is smart and keeps memory down. Does anyone know if there is a way to install an icon for the web App directory Apps on the iPhone?

I love this directory but it is too hard to read on the iPhone. I prefer www.ipApplist.com

Nice, I found appsafari http://www.appSafari.com for iPhone and iPod touch web apps, it has over 500 apps. It also loads up nicely on my iPhone and very easy to navigate.
