Geni is only in English. The world is a larger place to only commit to one language. I think offering people the ability to interact in their own language is a compelling point.

Geni has had specialists working to translate the site into many languages for almost a year now. Inside the product they already offer I18N character support, they just haven't gotten around to translating the site text yet. They're still in beta for a reason :-)
