One site you might add for "Photo Printing/Book Creation" is Mpix. The quality and selection of the prints and products you get from Mpix far surpass any of the other consumer oriented sites out there (this is not surprising since they are a branch of Miller's Professional Imaging, the leading lab in the country for professional photographers).
The Mpix interface is not always as friendly as some other sites, but the result is worth it. However, stay tuned for some excellent interface and community changes from Mpix in the near future. They are doing some great things. Just thought I'd let you know.
(Disclaimer: I do some consulting for Mpix and their parent company, Miller's, inc.)
In addition to photo uploading, distribution, and blogging, Multiply offers photofinishing services including books, calendars, mugs etc through a partnership with Qoop.

May I add two of my favorites?
John Nack on Adobe: http://blogs.adobe.com/jnack/
John works for Adobe and has some great insights on a lot of things include Adobe products.
Imaging Insider: http://imaginginsider.com
A rocking news site for photographers.
Their terms of service also claim ownership to everything they publish. Meaning the content they're taking?
I'm sorry, meaning *my* content they're taking?
I'm not impressed.
Excellent grouping as well.
These are techniques that, in theory, anyone can learn. However, that takes time so it is often more sensible to hire a company to do it for you.
My company has retouchers who do very high-quality work, and we acknowledge that some of our competitors are as good as or even better than we are (if you can afford them).
I appreciate the list of resources and plan to check out some of them.

Registering is not required for hosting images at FreeImageHosting.net
Also can i recommend http://www.onlinephotographers.net for the photo sharing section, its just been launched but has already got some really good photographers and photos on there, definately worth a look.
I'm a little hurt my photography blog got left out too :P

"Stuck In Customs - blog by one of the greatest DRM photographers on the net"
I think you mean HDR, not DRM.
My Sunday is totally wasted.
These guys do a really wonderful job of large-format photo printing and their prices and response time are very reasonable.

This is a very useful list of sites, but I'm surprised you didn't mentioned pongyow [http://www.pongyow.com], a completely free image hosting site.
Nevertheless you made a good job!
I found an off-line tool that you might be interested in. This freeware adds description, title and tags (including geotagging) before you upload to the online sites like Flickr or Zooomr and the tags are IPTC so their compatible with almost all photo applications.
For a how-to check out this link: http://brentevans.blogspot.com/2007/06/tag-and-...
I am going on an African safari in July and plan to produce a book after the trip.

David Hobby (the host/teacher/lighting guru) has just started a beginner's tutorial session that anyone with a removable flash should take a look at.
One site to add to the new category would be http:www.lexar.com/dp. It has a lot of great information about digital photography from some great names in the industry.
Once again, great list.

Thanks!
While Royalty Free photography has its advantages (east to come by and cheap) using RF stock comes with the risk of duplication, repetition, overexposure, and brand confusion. Rights Managed stock provides more protection for both the photographer and the buyer, as well as higher quality images, and less risk of image duplication.
The most appropriate category for Shozam is "Photo Sharing." The program is different from typical photo sharing sites because it generates galleries on user's computer and allows the user to upload to *any* Web host. Shozam can also be tagged as a mashup generator since it combines multimedia with Web services from Google Maps and PayPal.
Suggested description:
Shozam - Generate galleries on your computer and upload to your Web site or any Web host. Features audio, video, slideshows, geotagging (via Google Maps) and ecommerce (via PayPal).
Thanks
I just published this tool for online photo proofing. I would appreciate any feedback.

wowApic.com offers convenient professional photo editing for everyone.
Another one to maybe add to your list of photo sharing service: Joomeo.com (http://www.joomeo.com)
I am using it and I would highly recommend it...It is a good alternative to all the GIANTs on the net
The site is a news site that focuses on citizen photojournalism. Right now we are running a free photo contest and giving away 3 Apple iPhones.
Good place to get your photos published next to professional photographers from AP and a good place to start if you are considering a career in photojournalism or you have some interesting shots to share.
highly technical aspirant post
really interesting
