I was a mayor user of that button, but still a minority for what it seems.

I never even knew the video link existed. That was some sarcasm to start your day. :)

    .

Google is only doing this in the nations where Christianity is the dominant religion.

Checking some of the other Google international homepages - in the Middle East and in the Far East - they do not have the products link on the homepage.

This is a tactic to get the maximum ROI for the Xmas season.

Probably Videos aren't really bringing in any return on investment. Users may just be going to YouTube directly or check our the videos that are embedded in the SERPs.

hard to believe i wasted my time reading this tosh. have you got nothing better to do than monitor the position changes of TEXT links, not even graphical buttons! on the google site?

it really makes me wonder. you've stolen 20 seconds of my life, quite frankly - i want it back. you turkey-tastic-bunch-of-web-waste-of-spacers.

I wish Google would make one row of links (or two if needed) all the way across the screen and keep them in the same position as you move about the Google site.

That way you could use muscle memory to click in the right place because the link position wouldn't change when you switched from, say, the Google main page to Gmail.
