Its okay being fast but not at the expense of usability and I use RSS feeds a lot. You mention the manner in which IE uses RSS feeds, but doesn't Firefox and therefore Flock the browser I use also do that as well? I have never needed to use an 'outside' feed reader in those browsers either. ???

Re: Playing Catch-Up: Google Chrome to Get RSS Auto-Discovery

Yeh, I don't mind the fact that it is lacking RSS. I often use it to analyze web pages... In some ways, it does a better job than Firefox's Firebug. And yes, I do love its speed. But it will never be a primary browser for me.

Re: Playing Catch-Up: Google Chrome to Get RSS Auto-Discovery

Thanks, but that setting is on. It does not seem to work. Thanks for the tip though :)

Re: Playing Catch-Up: Google Chrome to Get RSS Auto-Discovery

I don’t know what’s surprising about the move from beta without many features. That’s what you are going to see in the iPhone era. Release something as soon as it’s got just enough, then every time you add any feature, it’s a big deal.

Not that minimalism is a bad thing. Being feature–rich doesn’t mean the thing works correctly (or well, e.g. Internet Explorer). It just means that features will continue to creep in, rather than be there all along.

This is a community–driven software, so I expect there to be steady improvement of the feature set. Heck, considering the shotgun spray that is browser standards, I’m surprised any browser is considered anything but beta.

Re: Playing Catch-Up: Google Chrome to Get RSS Auto-Discovery

Wow , that was a great feature . That is one feature I really want to see in Chrome. I have 1.0, but that feature is not showing up at all
