BlackBerry Outage Affecting North America
Show me how to code a multithreaded responsive app in Flex/Flash then.
oops, I posted the wrong reply. Sorry. Got too many tabs open and lost the track."
heh. was about to laugh until you corrected shortly. :D
Also, I should note that video performance (quality, lack of interruptions) is almost entirely on the server side. NBC has clearly invested in quite a bit of backend power and bandwidth. This post in WSJ dabbles in backstage details:

Ya think maybe the video you're seeing from the Olympics might be done by professionals with high end digital recorders?
that is because of youtube. that is why they got their "see in high quality" option for when a video gets popular or active enough. that turns out to be a "see how it should have been converted like" option.
So far, I'm a big fan.

This should allow you to view Silverlight on Linux.
Flash is great for on demand (YouTube), but is not ready for primetime for huge single live events. Ustream.tv Justin.tv do not count. Those are simultaneous, low-trafficked channels.
2) Once back online, you are stuck with a page with a white area till you click on a picture video
=> not good design
3) After all that you are told to back away if you are not from the USA !!!
Thanks Silverlight for helping closing the borders of the web ! ... especially for the Olympics ! How symbolic this is
