Thanks Pete. Very useful. Can think of a lot of instances for clients where many of these would be useful.

I had most of them installed/tried on my sites...
So there's nothing really new... I hope someone will make plugins that utilize more mashup... with social network open APIs...

This should be on your list. iPhone plugin that detects when you are on an iphone and then displays blog correctly. All you do is install and activate.

The mobile plugin was exactly what I was looking for a few days ago.

    Thanks,

All-in-One SEO Pack is no longer being maintained by the original developer so its quality -- in terms of use -- may go down. There's also Platinum SEO Pack which is basically AIO SEO Pack + extra options (in fact, it is AIO plus extra options).

Indeed. I updated it and it jacked up my disqus comments.

And 100s more plugins... Probably no better poster child for open source than Wordpress. It's so infinitely useful, customizable, and elegant. Any company thinking of blowing six figures on a "content management system" should be slapped and given a one-hour demo of 2.5.

Thanks, most of them confirm what I have installed/run under WP already but a few were good and new picks to try.

I prefer eShop over Wp-Commerce. It's a lot easier to install and get up and running.

Thank you for posting about our plugin WP e-Commerce.

Yesterday we just released version WP e-Commerce 3.6.7 which is our most optimized, easy to install and powerful version yet.

Google gave us Level 2 verification which is the highest level of acknowledgment you can get from the google engineers. We nailed USPS. We added the ability to use multiple payment gateways. And we added things like shipwire integration. And finally our Forums and Documentation are up to scratch.

Version 4 will have its own theme engine. If you want to be involved with this and help forge the future of WordPress e-Commerce themes then please contact us - we need all the help and feeback we can get :)

The "Share This" plug-in is not compatible with WordPress 2.5. At least that's what I found out today when I updated my version of Wordpress to 2.5.1.

Is there another "Share This" plug-in out there that I'm not aware of? Because the Share This web site says the plug-in is only compatible up to WP 2.3.

Use the Add to Any Share/Save plugin. It's better.

The Add to Any Subscribe plugin definitely should have made the list.

Thanks for this: I'm not using two of these, which is pretty good from a list of this type.

very nice collection of tools. nice presentation too. i was wondering, is there any open source plugins that will allow you to put an auction on your site?
there seems to be a few payed sources, but being new at this and with no money at the moment to buy one, i was hoping to find something open source.

I keep having to refer to this post for my blog. I had a technical difficulty and had to upload my plugins again and since I didn't remember which ones I had, this saved me!

Surprisingly, alot of these plugins are still very good. I couldn't live without the WP.com Stats plugin. lol
