Yesterday, the Democrats.org blog featured an excerpt from a story we received from Kristine Reger, a life-long Wisconsinite and mother of three who attended President Obama’s Health Care Town Hall in Green Bay. Today, we asked Kristine to write a guest post to share her full story:
Hi everyone. I submitted my health care story to Organizing for America online, and they’ve asked me to write a guest blog about my experience. Here's what I can tell you:
Though I'm a lifelong Democrat, my husband and I raised our three kids in a mostly Republican suburb. For years and years, I kind of rolled over and skirted political conversations with my friends and neighbors. I didn’t want to engage in debate.
Then last fall, after more than 20 years, I finally decided to have the courage of my convictions. Barack Obama inspired me to get involved. I wasn’t happy with the direction of our country and I thought to myself: enough is enough. I spent lots of time researching the issues and learning about then-Senator Obama’s positions. Eventually, I figured out that I could make a real difference in my own network of family and friends by reaching out to people through email and responding to all the emails going around that I knew weren’t true. You know what I learned? My friends are still my friends. People have started coming to me to understand what’s going on; they rely on me to tell them the truth.

Look you guys.
THis is not against myspace terms,
it's just another layout.
There are bugs in anything,
But I haven't really seen any on this site.
I can see reasons why someone would think that there are bugs in it,
but it's simply human error.
The only thing wrong with this site is it's not dumby friendly.
On the normal layouts you just cut and paste,
with this one you can customize,
but you have to move most all of your info around
THEN PASTE
it's difficult the first couple of times,
but it get's easier.
BTW THE DIRECTIONS, ARE RIGHT AT THE TOP...hehe
The only thing you need is a decent computer and half a brain and you got this.

hey. I tried doing this just as they say, but after I go to edit my profile on the about me section,
I paste the code and hit preview.
after hitting preview. I see the page the way I want it, but I dont' have a way to hit submit so it won't save it?
I'm in Myspace as a FilmMaker would this be the reason?

I want to take the 'love my flash' tag off my profile. It looks tacky and i can always hide them on other profiles but cant find the code on the 'love my flash' layouts can you help??

i like lovemyflash, but some of the layouts do not have a link to "view my pictures" i used the code from the website above to add a link to my photos. it works on my page. hope this helps.

yikes! this is frustrating. i'll try to break down the code:

1. use the anchor tag

4. replace blahblahblah.html with your exact picture/album website address

5. place right after that View All Pictures

i like the lovemyflash layouts. some of the layouts do not have a link to view the album/pictures but i tried the code below and it works in my page!

here's how:
1. go to ur id'like to meet section

2.paste all the necesary codes from lovemyflash

3. look for this

4. then paste this code: View All Pictures

got to this web site http://lovemyflash.com/ click the layout you like then under Customize This Layout... the first thing you will see is (MYSPACE URL www.myspace.com/lovemyflash... lovemyflash and put in your url you can find it on your profile then customize what ever you want to like the color or pic then hit get code then
1. Clean up your current profile, deleting any old layout code

2. Move widgets to the bottom of your "I'd Like to Meet" section

3. Remember to paste in BOTH bits of code

and be sure to but the Copy pices into the right section

if you never use any code like this it kind of confusing at first but just take you time you will get it
