I am in Brasil now..I have been here for a few months. I love Orkut, but it is the most buggy site that I use on a frequent basis. Sometimes you can not even log in. But I really think that every brasilian between the age of 14-30 has an account.
On another note, I do notice that alot of orkut members use fotolog for their photos because Orkut has a limit of 12 photos per account.

I'm a brazilian user, I've my own orkut account. This site is heaven and hell together. There are about 8 Milions unique users per month, Internet in Brazil is about 23 Milion - so it`s a ruge success. In the other hand, it contains lots of racial, pedofilic, drougs material, governament is pushing a lot google to release information and get of this kind content - Orkut is becoming an example what a community without law turns *nowhere land*.

I think it was back in 2004 when fotolog.net started limiting Brazilian subscriptions to around 800 per day (based on IP). People would wait up until 12:01 AM to register, and the subscriptions quota would run out in about 5 minutes hehe.
