Social bookmarking. Firefox plugin for easy useage.

I like it.

http://www.stumbleupon.com

Re: Dabble – Del.icio.us for Video?

Pete,

I hope that's not to say you are using my podcasts as a way to put yourself to sleep at the dentist's?

:-)

Tom

Re: Dabble – Del.icio.us for Video?

Tom,

Yep - I listened to it at the dentist's today. (He was running late so I got to hear the whole thing.) :)

Great interview - I totally agree with Mary's views on copyright and media. Also interesting to hear that Dabble is a remixing community as well as a video bookmarking site.

Re: Dabble – Del.icio.us for Video?

Hi Pete,

I did a podcast interview with Mary Hodder just the other day where she spoke extensively about Dabble - the thinking behind it and the business model. Interesting stuff - you can listen to it at http://www.podleaders.com/m...

Tom

Re: Dabble – Del.icio.us for Video?

There's a lot of value in specialized communities of human-to-human sharing. Plus, vertical tools to manage notoriously gnarly and uncooperative file types like video are probably out of range for generalist sites like delicious.

Re: Dabble – Del.icio.us for Video?

Cool idea, but Veoh and YouTube will add this functionality themselves. Veoh is working on version 2.0, and i believe this is part of it.

Re: Dabble – Del.icio.us for Video?

Noah,

I agree that this is unoriginal in the extreme, but I do think there is room for more verticals in the bookmarking space. Photomarking(?) can't be that far off. In fact, I fully expect Digg to expand to new media types (and they probably will eventually).

Re: Dabble – Del.icio.us for Video?

yawn, hy couldn't someone just do that within del.icio.us? there are hardly any companies coming out recently with any creativity or ingenuity.
