Great article, but, where are the IPHONE versions of ANY of these sites? There is NO good iPhone gas-finder site, which is the ONLY TIME I NEED A GAS FINDING APP (when I'm in the car!).
    _______

    Free iPhone-only Ringtones

We have developed devices that use a little electricity out of your car's battery, to separate water into a gas called HHO (2 Hydrogen + 1 Oxygen). HHO, also called Brown's Gas or Hydroxy, burns beautifully and provides TONS of energy - while the end product is just WATER! Mobile Magazine says HHO provides the atomic power of Hydrogen, while maintaining the chemical stability of water.

This has already been proved wrong...There was an episode about this on mythbusters...
  • Fernando · 1 year ago
What they busted was a different thing. That was using pure hydrogen. This is what they said on mythbusters "The cell didn’t work with the car, and while the car did start unmodified when pure hydrogen was introduced, the hydrogen was also violently ignited soon afterwards, making it an unlikely - and expensive - alternative". I started to question the accuracy of all these 'tests' mythbusters do after seeing this because I know for a fact that hydrogen works. There is a BMW hydrogen 7, H2 Hummer, Hy-wire which are all hydrogen cars. Also according to the website below, there are buses running on hydrogen in Iceland and homes powered by hydrogen in Japan. So mythbusters....check it out again.

You know, I tried that site for 2 days a row and could not get it to load, so I thought it was dead.
  • Jack · 1 year ago
You are probably using Firefox, I could only get that site to load correctly with IE.

One other option for cell phones is Rocketshotz.com
You can add Gas Buddy or other gas checking sites to your mobile phone and check for the best price while out driving.

Do any of these work in the UK?

IMO, all the environmental movements of the past decades have done less to change the American mindset on energy conservation and renewable energy than the recent oil spike.....Nothing like hitting people in the pocketbook to change their mindset! Less SUV's and high horse power cars on the road is a great thing...and safer for me in my small car.

Economics will be the guiding force behind all of these renewable movements....As oil gets pricier, venture capitalists will look elsewhere for opportunities that were once seen as expensive and not practical. Short term pain....LONG TERM GAIN!

Shame on the DEM congress for mandating more corn ethanol production....Too close to the farm lobby boys and girls? We need more 2nd and 3rd gen biofuels!

I've used gas buddy before, but I wasn't aware of all of these other tools. I'll have to play around with them and see which ones work the best for me. It's really nice that we have these tools available online!

If you're looking to save on gas, also try shopping online. A number of merchants - particularly for clothing and apparel - will offer some sort of free or discounted shipping on your purchase. It can be a nice way to skip that car trip to the mall or outlet center outside of town.

    A great tool

With the price of gas skyrocketing we need all the tools we can get. Good Job and keep those ideas coming.
