I also agree that the letter dropping is getting ridiculous, but what choice do webmasters have? Going with a TLD other than .com in order to correctly spell a word won't do- anything that's not a .com or .org looks like a spam or fishing site.

I personally hate it when these web 2.0 companies purposefully misspell words. It makes my blood boil. Grammar is important to me and when I see companies follow the bandwagon and conform to this weird naming standard I just want to cry. T_T

Manipulating the spelling of domains seems to be the natural evolution of the net. With something like 95,000,000 domains already registered and registrars like GoDaddy.com aggressively marketing domain name flipping, it's no wonder startups are dropping vowels and adding consonants.

This is probably just the start of crazier things to come. Once every "single word" misspelling is registered, people will likely be forced to start misspelling "two word" combinations. Can you image...diggThatt.com...noww that suckks.

Loved it. You should do more of these!! There's got to be a ton!

And while not in the "correctly spelled words" topic, the use of one domain that puzzles me is zune.com. A 404 on a page that I'm sure it's getting tons of hits a day. I mean, if we think that people who park domain names with affiliated links could do much better, how about that one??
