I agree that the next campaign cycle will be much more heavily involved with social media, but the idea that social media involvement is having a significant effect on this cycle is laughable. Sadly, the surest predictor of results is the amount of campaign money raised.

I did spell "Qaeda" without the U. Not sure where you're getting that from, chief.

And I'm not making fun of him. I'm making fun of his obnoxious fans. The ones that still to this day email me five times a day asking for a donation.

I'm probably gonna vote for him in the primary. I'm a bit tired of his groupies annoying the crap out of me, though.

Despite that, it seems the annoying efforts of his supporters work to his benefit.

Those jokes are really old, and not particularly funny. Just shows how little there is about him to pick on, since the best people can come up with is to rhyme his name with a terrorist... Kinda sad really... And, dude, if you're going to make fun of someone, at least spell it right (it's qAeda, not qUeda)!

Great article! I've been really impressed by the amount of steam the Paul campaign has been able to pick up as a result of online grassroots movements. It really speaks volumes for the power of social bookmarking (specifically Digg) and networking.

Even if he doesn't win, it's been a great case study for how to do it right.
