"...created for our readers" should really say "created for our Windows-usingreaders" Come on Ms. Nicole, not everyone loves the Microsoft. Particls has no Linux or Mac version (probably due to their choice of technology- let me guess, .NET?) and no release date for them, just a nagging feeling it should be done. I'll never get those 5 minutes back.

Kristen thanks for taking the time to do a writeup. As you mentioned Particls is especially useful for social networks where users can get get popup alerts when they get new messages and friends requests etc.
Also must apologize to yourself and Phil for everyone breaking the embargo - was out of our control.
