Sean - Thanks for including us...we didn't even lobby anyone for an article :) I hope the product speaks for itself.

We also offering matching wedding invitations with the wedding websites - a first in the industry, and allow html to be posted into entries, so a user can include a weddingmapper.com map for example. Lots of other great sites here as well. Thanks for compiling the list.

thanks for the great run down - my one suggestion is that you follow up with some jewelry ideas and links. the clear favorite online is www.bluenile.com where you can mix and match diamonds and settings. another good one is www.mondera.com. for people who want something completely custom, i would also highlight a company in boston that just received venture funding that allows people to take a design from sketch to a finished piece using an online process. the website is www.paragonlake.com

Poorly researched, picked obvious sites like The Knot and something as crass as buy-our-honeymoon.com (why not give-us-money.com?) There are way better sites for the honeymoon registry concept and there are a number of wedding-related sites that are not as commercial as The Knot yet offer great information.

    Scott,
What are some of the informative wedding-related sites? I'm just starting to investigate and would love to know what you've found.
    Thanks!

You forgot mywedding.com. i think it's one of the easiest sites to navigate. plus they have free wedding websites that are not cheesy like other sites.

Thanks for including us on the list! We are probably one of the youngest of the sites listed and would encourage anyone thinking of setting up a wedding website to try us out. We have all the usual features and have an extremely easy-to-use interface so anyone can create a beautiful free wedding website.

All these registry sites are annoying - there are just so many of them! What I really want is a single registry that will let me get gifts, will let me register for charity gifts and will let my guests give me cash - AND I want to get the cash when they give - not weeks after like some of these registries. When will that registry be out there? What a pain!

    Check it out!

For registry we use http://www.wishpot.com. We chose it because it's much easier to use than the other listed above.

Great list - it would also be nice to see a list for a little more off-beat sites where you can shop for wedding items. Unless you live in a big city, the internet is really the only place you can get unique things. One of my favorites is http://www.modelbride.com - I found them when I was searching for wedding hairstyles and I ended up buying a barrette and a pair of shoes. Another great resource is http://www.etsy.com where there are tons of people making custom items - everything from jewelry to cake toppers.

This is a great list of wedding sites with its "paraphernalia" tweets. May I add fabulous food hampers, wine hampers and more by http://www.bradfordsbakers.com as a unique giveaways during the wedding...it will surely add delights to the visitors.

Hello, this is a really good fact I want to share with you all is Wedding is a $40 billion dollar a year industry in the USA, these 30+ tools represent but a fraction of what is out there for you to use, but these will get you well started down the aisle to wedded bliss.
    Just go for it..

    Thanks
